Information
Over the month of September 2024, The team behind Filecoin Station will be taking part in a Glif Quest! We will be allocating 100,000 Glif points to Station Network participants for their contributions to the Station Network and Spark protocol.
What are GLIF Quests?
GLIF Quests are ephemeral games, challenges, and experiences that reward people for participation. The intention behind quests are to increase engagement and activity within the GLIF and broader Filecoin ecosystems.
Quests are currently rewarded with GLIF Points. In the near future, GLIF community members will be Quests designers, and will be responsible for determining the rules, allocations, and duration of Quests through DAO voting.
See here for more info on Quests.
For more info on these Glif Partner Quests, check out this blog from Glif.
How does this round of Glif Quests work?
- GLIF allocates 100,000 points to each partner
- Each partner is solely responsible for determining how those points are distributed
- At the end of the initial 4 week period, the partner supplies GLIF with a list of Filecoin wallet addresses, along with the associated amount of points
- GLIF allocates the points according to the list provided by the partner, and the partner’s users will then see their associated points on the GLIF website
How does the Station Glif Quest Work?
60% of the points will go to Filecoin Storage Providers who achieve a Spark retrieval success rate over 80% across the month of September. The allocation of Glif points will be weighted by the Spark RSR scores of Storage Providers.
40% of the points will go to Station Operators, weighted by the amount of jobs completed.
Partner Quest Dates
- Start date: Sep 2nd 2024 00:00 UTC
- End date: Oct 1 2024 00:00 UTC
How to check if you have any points?
The points will be allocated to each FIL address after the Quest concludes. To check how many points you have been allocated, you can head to

Space Meridian, the team behind Filecoin Station and Filecoin Spark, will simply allocate the Glif points to participants of the Spark protocol but will not, and never will, assign any meaning or value to them within the Station Network. The points are managed by the Glif team.
Glif has never made any claims that Glif points are representative of tokens and/or that points will convert into tokens in the future. Glif has been explicit that points currently do not do anything and has made no future promises about points or their use cases.
